"My color people do not see"

Dominated by white

Dressed in blue

Black is apparently red

Targets for police to shoot them dead

BANG BANG

Triggers pulled

Guns fired

Welcome to America

White privilege rules

Oppressed by the white

Brutal treatment from the blue

Colorful people seen red

America waves in white blue and red

Searching to be free

We are always locked down to some degree

Seen as the

Land of opportunity

Now drowned in negativity

Too depressed to find happiness

World is so negative

Why don’t we just breathe

Take a moment and see

The structure of society

Here in America

The government

The police

They will never hear the voices on the streets

We are so oppressed

Our protests are silenced

Broadcasted on TV

They only see the emotion of frustration

The fight for justification is

Lost in oppression

Dark times

Black and white world

Change will happen

Color will bloom

We are something beautiful

We must not forget

Color does not fade

Combine with each other and

Unique is made

Creative in mind

Full of passion at heart

Just like color

We can work together

Create something new

Something for the better

We need to stop living in the black and white

Instead become the red like fire

Burn away the darkness of hate

Bring in the light of art

The voices in poems

The paintings colored with words

The passion in the silenced

Brings out the messages

The government has not heard

Ignite the fire in art

It will create a spark

The sun will set

The dark will come

Yet we will never forget

How bright it was

How bright it could be

Here in the dark world

We breathe

Become like colors

We shine

With art

They will see

Every color in me
