First year into college
It was my first time ever being in a kitchen
First day I told the chef my name was Zhushen
But as lost as I was
Not really certain what was going on
I put my name as Zhu
On my chef coat
That was who I became
I learned a lot of things in culinary school
Culinary school taught me that Zhushen was young
Culinary school taught me how college worked
Culinary school taught me how to cook
Culinary school taught me that life isn’t just four years of college and a career
Culinary school taught me that there is always more than what it seems
Culinary school taught me that food on the table came from effort, love and care
Culinary school taught me that chefs can be scary
